Warm stays, chilly season blooms...

So many beautiful stories have been shared with us at Leila and across July, our busiest month yet, each story shared about their celebrating life, taking in times to connect, relaxing, sample local feasts and delights, being in nature and getting away to 'Leila'.

Thank you to the many lovely guests so far who have written in and added their words to the house book, shared stories on social media and took time to write to us personally to thank us for making things comfortable and memorable in our 100+ years, Miners Cottage.

Out of the many art works left for us also, we're featuring this beautiful chalk 'Cow' drawing from the kitchen chalkboard wall, by Liv - 'Thank you xxx!' Isn't it lovely - bravo!

Recently we've heard from you guests about the joy of having instant heat and ambiance on arrival from the faux-fire, backed by the split system, and we've heard how the electric blankets have been a hit for making things cosy. Some have shared about their afternoons gathering bravely under the pergola, festoon lights on, for 'Petanque' or Bocci, with the fire-pit lit, enjoying time together sharing a warming pot of tea, tasty local wines and snacks and taking in the transition of day to night, enjoying golden sunsets on a clear winters days and finishing up under a starry night sky.

So thank you....

As we think of what we now need for this time of year know that in The Hepburn and Macedon Ranges Shires, the drought we of Summer has finally broken with the regions waterfalls again giving us all a great show and budding jonquils bursting out of their annual slumber to brighten and sweetly scent our beloved 'mineral springs' region, country Victoria.

Sending the best to you from Leila at Malmsbury,

ree
